In 2010 Ryan and his band were hand chosen out of some 4,000+ bands (worldwide) to perform a set at Eric Clapton's “Crossroads Guitar Festival” in Chicago..Ryan was asked by Clapton & Co. to return for a performance at the 2019 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas (granted they pulled it off while mid tour across Europe). McGarvey had a standing offer to appear at the 2023 Crossroads in Los Angelas, but unfortunately was unable to perform (That year). Ryan has been featured in magazines such as Guitar World, Music Connection, Premier Guitar Magazine, Gitarist,
Music & Musicians Magazine, Bluesmagazine, Rock Tines, Blues Review, etc.. In 2013 he was named “Best New Talent” in Guitar Player Magazine’s annual “Readers Choice Awards” . After many other countless accolades (including reaching “Hall Of Fame” status in th “European Blues Awards”)
